Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney challenged a brash 6ft 7in WWE wrestler named Wade Barret to a battle before a huge number of wrestling fans on Monday in Manchester. Furthermore, what do you know... he gave an Oscar-winning execution.
The Manchester United and England chief went to the Raw show alongside Ryan Giggs and former fellow team member Darren Fletcher.
Yet, things soon turned "warmed" for Rooney as he landed at his ringside seats with his six-year-old child, Kai.
After noticing the record England goalscorer in the front column, Manchester-wrestler Barrett put forth some choice words towards the 30-year-old striker.
Barrett insulted the England universal, saying: "In this ring are two men who can be easily be described as championship material. Which is, of course, more than can be said of Wayne Rooney and Manchester United."
Well he just made it personal.
He said, "I'd hate for your little boy to sit there and watch his own father fail. Because let's face it, he gets to experience that every single time you step on a football pitch."
That provoked Rooney to challenge the boxer Barrett to a battle. Furthermore, minutes after the fact the pair got into a physical altercation with Rooney finding a pounding slap over the wrestler's face.
That slap worked the group into a furor and they droned Rooney's name after his blow left Barrett sprawling on the floor. The episode - in genuine expert wrestling style - was obviously scripted and England captain Rooney "revelled" his part.
Anyhow this battle must have most likely left his child with some really great memories , we should simply trust the kid doesn't go around slapping individuals now.
